RICKY HISTORIANS: A presentation by Colin Oakes... Flaunden is now in Hertfordshire, but started up by the River Chess in Buckinghamshire. We will look at how this happened and both the history of the Buckinghamshire village and the modern Hertfordshire hamlet.
The village’s history is varied and very interesting as a farming and commuter area now, but in the past it had a more varied aspect. Here's how a flooded Flaunden became the beautiful place it is today with two much visited pubs!
Open to all Ru3a members. No booking is required just turn up on the day. We respectfully request a £3 donation on the door towards the cost of the speaker, hall hire and tea/coffee which is served afterwards.
