Having followed the timeline of major events from Napoleon through to the origins of the Cold War, we are now regressing to look at specific events, developments and characters together with more of the social aspects of the period.

Previously: Bill Fraser gave us an excellent, illustrated presentation on the “Decline of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918”; Andrew Hicks informed the group about the first attempt to deliver world peace in his talk on “The League of Nations”; Martin Lunnon presented the excellent, first part of his two-part appreciation of the “Life and Works of Winston Churchill” - we look forward to the second part and Churchill’s re-emergence from the wilderness later in the year.
The Group currently has 16 members and we usually have around 10-12 at each meeting. New members are always welcome.
