This group tries to "Do Something Positive" through small and simple initiatives. Please let us have any comments or ideas that could improve our lives!

DID YOU KNOW that blister packs cannot be recycled through standard household recycling - they go into landfill, where they take hundreds of years to decompose!
Since we are all of a certain age when we take a number of medications, rather than put all our empty blister packs into landfill via household collection, we ask Ru3a members to bring them to our monthly meetings and drop them into "Blisty Bin".
Or, perhaps if it is more convenient, a volunteer from each group could collect them from group members and drop them into “Blisty Bin” at his/her convenience. Hopefully, we will deliver sackfuls of empty blister packs to specialist recyclers regularly.
Simple, no effort, but makes a difference.
